Mission

Our belief is that, in a relaxed, nurturing, and playful multi-age setting where children are safely guided yet free to make their own choices, a child can enhance friendship making skills, try something new, learn from experience, and extend their interests and talents, all of which are critical life-long skills. Our goal is for every child to feel comfortable with whom she or he is, be respectful of all others and the environment, and grow strong, physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. We aim to assist every child in growing as an individual and as a member of the community.
To quote Piaget, "Play is children's work". We take that "work" very seriously.

It took us a while but after all summer,

we now THINK that we know who’s who.

This past week we went Bowling!

As you can see the children had an awesome time!

They do get very excited!

When they get a spare or a strike.

But most of all, they have a grand ole time.

There is no trip this week.

We will go to the pool every day.

Our Annual PENNY CARNIVAL is on

Wednesday 9/1 in the morning

PLEASE:

Have your child bring in 100 pennies in a quart size zip-lock bag with his/her name on it.

They will use the pennies to play the carnival games and the bag to carry the prizes.

Make sure your children are in camp no later than 9:30 on that day so they don’t miss any activities.

We can be contacted at all times on our cellular phones.

We can also be contacted at all times via email:

* Your child NEEDS to bring a bathing suit, towel, and SUNSCREEN every day. Pack these items even if the weather looks threatening because the weather may change and, if it does, we will go to the swim club.

* Please be sure your child always has a pair of socks in his/her backpack in case the weather causes us to make last minute adjustments and take a trip to a place that requires socks. Just keep a pair in a zip lock bag, labeled with your child’s name, in your child’s backpack to be ready for a rainy day.

* We supply a morning and an afternoon snack but your child will need to bring a lunch or money to buy lunch.

* You may drop your child off starting at 7:30 am but PLEASE, no later than 10:30 am if you are dropping off at The Crefeld School. We must have our daily attendance finalized by then in order to leave promptly at 11:00 AM.

  • We return to The Crefeld School at approximately 5:20 PM daily. You may pick up your child between 5:20 and 6:00PM.

Fun in the Sun’s late pick-up policy: There is a late fee  of $1.00 a minute for late pick-up in the afternoon. If you arrive after 6:00 pm to pick up your child, please pay the person that is waiting with your child.

Please visit our website/blog often since news and photos go up several times a week.

We are also trying to make it easy on Monday mornings so parents don’t have to stand in line very long. Go to forms and click on Payment form. Fill the form out and insert in an envelope with your check and pool money. Also add the snack money for your child if you want us to hold it. This way you can just drop off the envelope and not stand in line.

In case you have forgotten the form but still would like to leave more easily/quickly, there will also be envelopes and forms available at the “desk” at Crefeld.  Just fill one out and you’re done.

PLEASE make sure that your children have a pair of socks in their backpacks!!!
Last week we had to take an unexpected trip and went bowling. 1/2 of the campers did not have socks.
So PLEASE…pretty please… make sure that they carry a pair with them at all times.
Our camp hours are from 7:30 – 6:00pm.
Almost every day there is someone who has not been picked up
after 6pm and sometimes as late as 6:30 – 7:00 pm.
Anyone who picks up their child after 6:00pm will be charged $1.00 a minute.
If you know that you might be stuck in traffic,
please give yourself extra time to be able to be at Crefeld no later than 6pm.

Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

We appreciate your support!
