Following is a brief biography of the directors:
Bonnie Templin:
Bonnie has been a teacher for over 33 years. She is the founder of Summit Nursery School and After School program. For the past 25 years she has been a kindergarten teacher. She began the program that has grown into Fun in the Sun 24 years ago. She has two adult children, Robert and Kristin, who both grew up with Fun in the Sun and have themselves worked as camp counselors.
Dora Ficher:
Dora, who was born in Argentina, was formerly an art/play therapist and then a kindergarten and art teacher where she taught for 17 years. Two years ago Dora retired from teaching and is working full time as an artist at Dora Ficher Art, and the summers at Fun in the Sun. She joined Fun in the Sun 22 years ago. She has an adult son, Jonathan, who grew up with Fun in the Sun, and worked as a camp counselor and swimming instructor.
